Understanding the Cost of Dental Implants – Ashland, OR

A Tooth Replacement Worth Investing In

Before committing to dental implants, many patients have questions about their cost. There are a wide-range of factors that influence the price of your dental implants in Ashland, which is why we want to help you better understand them. Your oral health, how many teeth you’re missing, and the strength of your jawbone are just some of the variables that can impact the cost of your treatment. Keep reading to learn more about the cost of dental implants in Ashland and why they’re always worth the investment.

Types of Dental Implants

Dental implants can be used to replace one tooth, multiple teeth, or even whole smiles. The cost of your treatment will directly depend on the number of dental implants and type of restoration that you need:

  • Single tooth: For a single missing tooth, we will use an implant-retained crown to seamlessly complete your smile.
  • Multiple teeth: If you’re missing multiple teeth consecutively, we can use an implant-retained bridge to close the gap in your smile with strength and comfort.
  • All teeth: An implant-retained denture can replace a whole arch of your smile by using an average of 4 strategically placed dental implants.

It’s important to understand that the restoration that you require is a separate cost from the implants themselves, which will in turn influence the total price of your treatment.

What are the Stages of Dental Implant Treatment?

First, you’ll come into our office for a consultation with one of our expert dentists. This will include an examination of your mouth so any dental issues can be corrected before treatment begins. Once your oral health, the number of teeth you’re missing, and the strength of your jawbone are evaluated, we will schedule your implant surgery.

During surgery, we will ensure that you’re numb and comfortable before making small incisions in your gums to access your jawbone. Then, we’ll place small titanium posts into your jawbone, allowing 3 to 4 months for them to integrate. During this time, we’ll give you temporary crowns to wear to keep up your appearance. After your implants have fused to your jawbone, you will come in for a final visit, where we will place your permanent restorations.

Are Dental Implants Worth the Investment?

One question we hear frequently is whether dental implants are worth the investment. While they tend to have a higher price tag than other options, what’s more important than your health? Dental implants not only preserve your remaining teeth, but they actually stimulate your jawbone to keep it from deteriorating after tooth loss. In addition to these health benefits, dental implants also last for a lifetime, which will mean much less money spent in the future on potential replacements. For these reasons alone, dental implants are well worth the investment.

Does My Dental Insurance Cover Dental Implants?
